Unsurprisingly Eclipse has entered the box office at number 1 in the UK by taking £13,756,653 in its opening weekend.Eclipse managed to topple Shrek from its brief stay at the number 1 spot last weekend, but still managed to add a good £4,000,000 to its now strong total of £17,233,331.
Another new entry at number three for Predators starring Adrian Brody, which managed to take a respectable £2,203,193. After that the numbers start to fall away with Get him to the Greek at four taking only £610,705 to give it a grand total of £5,348,823. At five we have Killers which barely managed to edge its total up to £2,955,506 and at six, still in there is Sex and the City 2 giving it a UK total of £21,387,941.
The final places in the chart are filled by Heartbreaker, with a poor total of £294,563, I Hate Luv Storys with £394,626, the disappointing Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time (£8,779,291) and new entry at ten Milenge Milenge (£48,172).
